A Free Resistance Training Program
Designed to help you get started with strength training for lifelong independence.
Nearly every health and longevity book I’ve read comes back to the same conclusion: regular resistance training is one of the most effective ways to preserve quality of life as we age. It supports muscle mass, bone density, balance, and the ability to remain independent over time.
This program is a strict beginner, low-impact, full-body strength workout that can be done at home with little to no equipment. It is built around simple movement patterns, controlled reps, and a low barrier to entry.
This workout is also informed by my current training through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and is designed as a safe, practical introduction to resistance training for beginners.
When performed consistently, this workout will eventually require progression. That progression can come from adding simple household resistance like bags of rice or canned food, or by transitioning to a gym setting. The goal is not intensity, but steady progress.
